BEAUTY&ART
John O'donohue
Years ago, my husband bought a professional camera which I soon confiscated, and claimed as mine. I had no interest in photography, but something took hold of me when I started playing with imagery. I finally found a way to capture the beauty I saw everywhere around me. In focusing the lens of my camera, I was able to magnify a fragment of this beautiful world and I found the small frame of focus, told a story. It softened the places that were clenched and drew a more sensitive awareness. Art possesses the most profound quality— it bypasses the mind, and engages the heart.

Taking pictures and making films led me to my love and passion for storytelling as a way to enter and illuminate our souls.

"Beauty is the illumination of your soul."
